Thumbtack Integration Notice

This notice describes the intended data flow and controls for a contractor-authorized Thumbtack connection. The direct integration will be enabled only after required provider approval.

1. Integration status

RepeatWork is preparing a direct Thumbtack API integration for eligible contractor accounts. RepeatWork will not represent the connection as active or access a contractor's Thumbtack account through the API until Thumbtack has granted the required access and the contractor has completed Thumbtack's authorization flow.

2. Contractor authorization

A contractor will connect its own Thumbtack Pro account through Thumbtack's authorization flow. RepeatWork will receive access tokens and approved permissions, not the contractor's Thumbtack password. The contractor may disconnect the integration through RepeatWork or Thumbtack.

RepeatWork acts solely as the contractor's service provider, processor, and agent when accessing API Data. The contractor remains the business or controller for information a Thumbtack customer intentionally discloses to that contractor. Thumbtack does not sell API Data to RepeatWork.

3. Data requested

Depending on permissions approved by Thumbtack, RepeatWork may receive:

  • lead and customer name and Thumbtack identifiers;
  • service category, request details, location, timing, and lead status;
  • conversation messages, timestamps, participants, and attachments;
  • contact details the customer makes available to the contractor;
  • business profile, source, webhook, authorization, and delivery metadata.

RepeatWork will request only permissions needed for features offered to the contractor. The final authorization screen will identify the permissions available for that release.

4. Permitted use

At the connected contractor's direction, RepeatWork may use API Data to:

  • create and update organization-scoped lead and customer records;
  • display conversation history and source evidence in the contractor workspace;
  • classify requests and extract factual customer or project context for review;
  • notify authorized contractor users about new leads or replies;
  • prepare or send replies when the contractor enables an approved messaging workflow;
  • record status, assignment, manual takeover, and follow-up activity;
  • measure response and conversion performance for that contractor.

RepeatWork will not sell Thumbtack API Data, build an independent lead directory, use API Data for RepeatWork's own consumer marketing, or permit one contractor to access another contractor's data.

5. Messages and automation

Any messaging capability will be limited to permissions and rules approved by Thumbtack. The contractor will choose whether a conversation is manual, uses an approved first reply, requires approval, or uses bounded AI assistance. The contractor can pause automation and take over a conversation.

RepeatWork will not treat a Thumbtack lead as automatic consent for unrelated SMS, email, or voice marketing. External-channel communication requires the contractor to determine that it is permitted and to satisfy the Messaging Terms.

6. Security and access

API tokens and data will be stored and transmitted using safeguards appropriate to the Service. Access is restricted to authorized organization users, server-side use cases, and service providers needed to operate the connection. RepeatWork will validate provider webhooks and log relevant integration activity. Suspected unauthorized access to API Data will be investigated and reported to Thumbtack as required by its API Terms.

7. Retention, disconnection, and deletion

The contractor may disconnect Thumbtack and request deletion of linked data. RepeatWork will revoke or stop using the connection and delete API Data according to contractor instructions, applicable law, and Thumbtack's API Terms.

API Data subject to Thumbtack's destruction requirement will be destroyed promptly and no later than five business days after RepeatWork stops using the API or receives a qualifying Thumbtack request. Information intentionally disclosed to the contractor may be retained as the contractor's business record where Thumbtack's API Terms and applicable law permit it.

8. Third-party service
